CASA for Children of Klamath County has welcomed nine new Court-Appointed Special Advocate volunteers. They are shown here with Klamath County Circuit Court Judge Cameron Wogan, center. They are, from left, Andrea Howell, Tina Campbell, Jennifer Patterson, Patricia Anderson, Byron Beach, Judge Wogan, Cherie Beatty, Christy Finnigan, Margot Durand and Mario Garcia. The new volunteers completed the CASA certification training and were sworn in by Judge Wogan on Oct. 20. Their main role is to be the voice of a child. These volunteers are currently advocating for 17 foster children in Klamath County, ensuring their right to a safe and permanent home. CASA is currently accepting applications for its next training scheduled for Jan. 16, 17, 24 and 26. To find out about volunteer opportunities, call CASA at 885-6017 or visit www.klamathfallscasa.org.
