Assistance League of Klamath Basin receives generous gift from Altamont Elementary School

The Assistance League of Klamath Basin wishes to thank the Altamont Elementary School students, staff, businesses and others who contributed to the Altamont Walk-a Thon on May 28 as part of their “celebrating moving on” day. As a result of the Walk-a-Thon, the Altamont students presented the Assistance League with a check for more than $3,700.00 for the Operation School Bell program. This program provides new clothing to K-12 children in need throughout the school year. The amount of money raised will provide clothing for approximately 30 school children next year. It was a wonderful way for the students to give back to the community and the Assistance League is very proud to be a recipient of the students’ and staff’s hard work. For several years, Altamont students have been part of the Operation School Bell Program. We wish all the students and staff the best for next year. We look forward to seeing many of them at other schools. The Assistance League of Klamath Basin is a non-profit, all volunteer organization founded over 20 years ago to provide programs for children in the Klamath Basin.
