Klamath Ice Sports receives $1,500 grant for event

Klamath Ice Sports, the not-for-profit organization that owns and operates the Bill Collier Community Ice Arena, has been awarded a $1,500 grant for its upcoming Eighth Annual Figure Skating Spectacular by Pacific Power, which will serve as a co-sponsor of the event. “We are very grateful for this generous grant from Pacific Power,” said Suzette Machado, the volunteer director of Klamath Ice Sports, “and we will use the funds to help underwrite the costs of our annual figure skating exhibition.” “We are delighted to provide financial support to Klamath Ice Sports and to be a co-sponsor of its Eighth Annual Figure Skating Spectacular, which is an event that is unique in Southern Oregon,” said Toby Freeman, regional community manager for Pacific Power. The Figure Skating Spectacular will be 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, at the Bill Collier Community Ice Arena. Reserved, and general admission tickets are available online at www.klamathicesports.org or in person at the ice arena. General admission tickets are also available at Shaw Stationery, 729 Main St.
