Retired music specialist is honored for work

Gloria Mae Perkins, retired music specialist from the Klamath County School District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who’s Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in music education, according to a news release. For most of her 30-year career in music education, she taught at Ferguson Elementary School. Since retiring, she spends her time listening to music, reading, playing piano, and snowmobiling and plans to continue teaching Sunday school and to take dancing and computer classes.
