Tiphani Jaie-Ann Mack of Susanville, Calif., and Jeffrey Travis Barton Gonzales of Klamath Falls have announced their engagement and plan to be married in May 2011 in Anderson, Calif. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Frank and Lisa Boe of Susanville and the groom-to-be is the son of Deanna Gonzales and Jeff Gonzales of Klamath Falls. She is a 2007 graduate of Lassen High School and employed at Payless Shoe Source and he is a 2007 graduate of Mazama High School and a full-time student.

After meeting each other in our Freshman english class here at Simpson University Tiphani and I were just friends, though throughout that year we were playing at the idea of dating. Thankfully we kept ourselves from dating in our freshman year because over the next year God was shaping us to become the individuals that each of us deserve. In April of our Sophomore year we decided to take the next step in our friendship and we started dating on April 19th. It was soon after that I realized that this was the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I proposed on New Year's eve with her family present! An amazing start to an even more amazing year with my fiancee!
