CASA welcomes new volunteer advocates

On Jan. 25, CASA for Children of Klamath County, a nonprofit program that trains advocates for foster children, welcomed three new Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers. They are shown here with Klamath County Circuit Court Judge Cameron Wogan, second from right, and are, from left, John Lake, Kadance Connolly and Allison Gruener-Smith. They completed the winter CASA Certification Training and were sworn in by Judge Wogan as officers of the court. CASA volunteers are a voice of the child in court. CASA children spend less time in foster care, receive more services and have more success in school.
