Norman and Evely Simonson

Norman Simonson and Evely Guisinger Simonson of Klamath Falls celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family members and friends at Steen Sports Park on Jan. 1, 2010. The celebration was hosted by their daughters and included a special surprise guest, their son, who they hadn’t seen in 10 years. They were married in Reno, Nev., on Jan. 1, 1960. Both were born and raised in Klamath Falls and have lived there all of their lives. Norman is retired from the Klamath County Road Department and Evely is retired from the Klamath County Department of Public Health. Their children are LeAnn Mattson and her husband Marvin and LaDawna Simonson and her partner Tacy Carlin, all of Klamath Falls, and Wes Simonson and his wife Sherri of Fayetteville, N.C. They also have seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
