Phyllis ‘Bug’ Tucker turning 100 March 4

Phyllis “Bug” Tucker will be turning 100 years old. She currently resides at Eldorado Heights Assisted Living. She was born in Kerby, Ore., on March 4, 1910. “Bug” is her mother’s nickname for her (it was shortened from “Honey Bug”). She was married in 1930 to Bo Tucker. They lived in Poe Valley, where they farmed and grew potatoes until 1950 when they moved to Cottage Avenue in Klamath Falls. “Bug” had one brother and sister and is the baby in the family. She also has two daughters — one is Jane Demetrakos, who lives in Klamath Falls and visits with her mother frequently — five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She likes to garden, travel and take care of her family. Happy 100th birthday “Bug” from all of us at Eldorado Heights!
