The eveing of June 20th was a happy AND sad evening. The Klamath Country Squares square dance club said good-bye to Altamont School where they had danced for over 20 years. But it was a happy occasion to celebrate 50 years of marriage of Frank and Diane Rollins. It was also a Reunion of some kids who had their own square dance demonstration group. They were only dancing together a few years but went all over the state to perform. The Rollins kids were involved and Diane Rollins organized the reunion of the Pelican Promanadors; some couldn't make it for the occasion, and some had "their" kids fill in for them. Also there were many visiting old-timer square dancers who came to visit.
The Klamath Country Squares are currently dancing at the D A V hall on Avalon, and will be starting a new class in September. Anyone interested should call Doty at 273-2927. Pictured doing a reunion "tip" are Diane and Frank Rollins on the left....
